1. Lemon

Lemon is one of the best ingredients that you can use to promote clear skin. The citric acid present in lemon helps keep the skin clear by removing dead cells, and its vitamin C content helps reduce dark spots by increasing the cell renewal process. Lemon also has bleaching properties that will help improve your overall skin complexion.

  • Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day.
  • Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off.
  • To exfoliate your skin, mix two teaspoons each of lemon juice and sugar. Apply the mixture on your face, neck and hands. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once a week to enjoy glowing skin.

2. Oats

Oats work as a great scrubber and give your skin the shine and smoothness. Take ½ cup of oats and pour a little warm water in it. Leave it for 5 minutes. Water will help in forming a thick paste. Apply it on your face and gently rub and massage in a circular motion with your fingers. Rub harder around and on the nose to remove blackheads, for 15 minutes. Then, wash off with cold water. This will make your skin smooth and fair.

3.Honey

To enjoy clear skin, your need to keep your skin well moisturized. Honey is a great moisturizer and also has antibacterial properties that help ward off infection. Apply raw honey directly on your skin. Let it dry naturally and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. The water content in honey will deeply moisturize the skin, making it soft and supple. Do this simple remedy once daily or every other day. Alternatively, mix two teaspoons of milk and one teaspoon of honey. Then add one teaspoon of gram flour and mix it in well. Apply it all over your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Use this face mask once a week to enjoy radiant and clear skin.

4. Ice Cube

Rub an ice cube on your face to improve the blood circulation. Also, if you are going in a party or in a special occasion, rub an ice cube before putting on the make-up. This will help the make-up to last longer, and the make-up won’t smudge.

Alternatively, put a few drops of your favourite moisturiser on the ice cube and massage it on your face. This will instantly freshen up your skin and give it an instant glow.

5. Almonds Cleanser

Grind 6 almonds, add egg yolk and beat it properly, add 1 tablespoon of honey and make it into a paste. Apply it on your face and neck and gently rub it. When it begins to dry, wash it using lukewarm water. Best to use in winters, suits all skin types but works best for dry skin.

6. Olive Oil

Take a few drops of olive oil and apply it on the cheekbones, where you usually put on the blusher. This will give your face an instant glow. You can also use coconut oil or jojoba oil.

7. Tea Scrub

Take a tablespoon of tea leaves and boil it in water. When it begins to impart the colour, remove it from the flame, and allow it to cool. Take 2 tablespoons of tea water. Put 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of cream in it, and mix. Apply it on your skin and gently massage it. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

8. Cucumber

Cucumbers contain hydrating, nourishing and astringent properties that are very good for skin. They can improve the overall appearance of your skin by repairing damaged skin cells, removing dead skin cells and adding a fresh glow. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices, and rub them thoroughly all over your face. Leave it on overnight and rinse with warm water in the morning. Do this daily before going to bed. Alternatively, make a mixture with equal amounts of cucumber juice and lemon juice. Apply this mixture to your skin, allow it to dry completely, and then wash it off with warm water. Do this daily.

9. Egg

An egg white is rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, so it nourishes your skin. It is known to cleanse, exfoliate, and lighten the skin complexion. The egg white also helps to counter the wrinkles and gives you a youthful and glowing skin. Extract the white of an egg in the bowl and whip it to foam. Then add a teaspoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix to form a smooth paste and apply all over the face. Leave it for 15 minutes until it dries and wash with warm water.

10. Milk

Take a tablespoon of milk and add a few drops of lemon to it. Massage face and neck with this milk. This will soften and moisten your skin naturally, within a few minutes. Wash off the face after 20 minutes. You can also add a pinch of turmeric to the solution. You can also take a few strands of saffron and soak it in 2 tablespoons of milk cream for overnight. Mix this pack in the morning and apply it on your skin. Saffron will give your skin a healthy glow while milk will lighten your skin colour.

11. Papaya

Papaya can be used to improve your skin’s texture and maintain clear skin. It has natural bleaching properties that help reduce the appearance of scars. Plus, the enzyme papain present in papaya has antibacterial and wound healing abilities and also aids in removing dead, damaged skin. Chop a ripe papaya into small pieces. Combine the papaya with one teaspoon each of sandalwood powder and honey. Grind these ingredients into a paste. Apply the paste all over your face and neck. Leave it on for half an hour. Then rinse it off with cool water and pat dry your skin. Finally apply some rose water on your face. Follow this remedy once a week to notice a visible change in your skin tone.

12. Potato

Take a slice of unpeeled potato and soak in water for like 5 minutes or so. Rub it on your face. Potato works as a natural bleacher, which will lighten and brighten the skin in seconds.

13. Oatmeal and Cinnamon

This scrub is suitable for all skin types. It is rich in antioxidants and proteins, thus promotes cell growth. In two teaspoons of oatmeal, add ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Mix them with one to two teaspoons of milk to form a fine paste. Apply all over the face and scrub gently in circular motions. Rinse after 15 minutes with warm water.

14. Green Apple

Green apple works great in bringing back the lost glow. Apply the pulp of green apple on your skin. This will not only make your skin radiant and fair, but also circulates the blood well.

15. Mint

Also, it has wonderful healing properties that help fight off skin infections. Put one teaspoon of mint powder and one tablespoon each of plain yogurt and fuller’s earth in a bowl. Set it aside for half an hour so that all ingredients get soaked properly. 16. Vegetable

Pluck some fresh flowers of jasmine and crush them. Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix them well and apply the pack on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then, rinse off with cold water. This pack will lighten up the skin colour, as well as provide your face a new shine.
